Sometimes when we struggle with skin issues, especially age and hormone related problems it might be good to take a step back and really look at your skincare. Skincare that you use for decades can suddenly turn on you and become unfriendly. Not because anything changes with the product, we change. Sometimes in our desperation we turn to “all natural products “ but what does that mean? Not a thing. There’s no governing body to determine what is natural and from a legal standpoint it is a false claim. The most “natural” things you can find in your pantry outside of fruits and vegetables don’t actually grow in that state. Mankind has some role in it and most ingredients are processed, whether it’s coconut oil or olive oil, they simply don’t grow that way. That’s why it’s impossible to call some skincare “natural” or “all natural.” What we should consider are the most egregious ingredients with a history of irritation. The biggest culprits are synthetic preservatives, fragrances, and unnatural, unnecessary dyes. Please understand that preservatives save lives and that is why they are necessary in most skincare. One could lose an eye using a product that wasn’t preserved properly. All of our required products pass testing in a lab to assure they are safe and preserved properly. Products that don’t contain water or liquids like oils and balms don’t need preservatives…..so you won’t see them in everything. Now the quiet part out loud…..some people want products with absolutely no synthetics whatsoever, we get it. If you want the most basic skincare regimen with no synthetic preservatives or fragrances we’ve got our Basic Essentials Bundle.
